Senior High: Program on All the Saints, presented by Daniel Echols

Jr. High:  Learn about Shrove Tuesday; Cook and serve pancakes for the youth meal.

March 7 Senior Highs: Discussion:  Life as a Freshman at College led by Reed Young, TTU freshman

Junior Highs: Texas Tech Rock Climbing Wall -  5:30 - 7:00 p.m.   

Cost: $5.00 per person - give cash to youth sponsors   

Parents drop off and pick up at Texas Tech Recreation Center, 3219 Main Street. Go in the north entrance and meet at the front desk. The sponsors will meet you there.

 Signed waiver required:  Pick one up Sunday morning or go to recsports.ttu.edu; Outdoor Pursuits tab on the left of the page in the red column, click Climbing Wall. Download waiver from Climbing Wall page under Frequently Asked Questions.

Junior Highs: Garden Project: Davidson House back yard, across the alley from the church. Help prepare the ground for planting a community garden. Bring gloves and a garden rake.

April 4

EASTER Sunday:

Senior Highs:   Easter Egg Hunt this coming Sunday, Easter, April 4.

 

  • Be at Waters Elementary School by 5:30 and look for a youth sponsor at the corner of 78th and Flint
  • Youth will meet there and then walk to the Sessoms' house to hunt eggs and eat dinner
  • Parents pick up at the Sessom home at 7:00 pm (3007 81st Street)
  • Everyone needs to bring 2 dozen candy-filled plastic eggs and give them to either Charlotte or Sally at church.  Eggs are needed ahead of time so they can be hidden before the hunt.
  • Plan to enter the Easter Basket Decorating Contest!!!  Prizes will be awarded for the most outstanding entries, so get your creative juices flowing and bring your decorated basket with you that evening.

Wild West Texas Overnight Adventure

Games, Food, Movie, Fun!!!

Meet at the church at 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 9th

Parents pick up at the church 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning

Invite a friend! 

You need to bring:

  • Flashlight
  • Sleeping bag, pillow, etc
  • Warm clothes to sleep in an unheated place
  • Air mattress or sleeping pad if you have one (concrete floor)
  • Snack to share
  • 2 liter of soda or juice
  • Skateboard or scooter if you wish

Monday:            Semi Formal (dressed ½ your body dressed formally and ½ dressed informal) dress for the Amazing Race.  Meet at the church. Prizes awarded for the best costume. Parents needed to drive; please volunteer by calling or emailing David

Tuesday:           Water Games and Hamburger Cookout. Meet at the church. Bring a towel and a change of clothes. Youth will be given the new Youth Week t-shirt to change into after the games.
